I offer you peace. I offer you love. I offer you friendship. I see your beauty. I hear your need. I feel your feelings My wisdom flows from the Highest Source. I salute that Source in you. Let us work together for unity and love.

Permanent good can never be the outcome of untruth and violence.

Unity to be real must stand the severest strain without breaking.

Excellent choice. That is one of my favorites as well. He and King were incredible leaders and I often look to them for inspiration and hope.

10. We stand in a long, proud tradition

Last December, when I felt so defeated following the election, I made my first trip to the deep South and visited civil rights sites around Selma, Alabama and Philadelphia, Mississippi. That renewed my sense of commitment and reminded me of the millions of brave people who have fought these fights before me. I knew then I couldn't turn my back on this fight without dishonoring their memory and I knew that I could never do that. Gandhi, of course, is one of those eternal heroes whose memory will always be an inspiration. And we must not let them down............
