How did you feel when you launched DU and saw Bush on the homepage
and saw the title "For More Years"?

I found it quite unsettling and depressing. I knew this day would suck. I guess I just didn't realize how much. :-(

and that's why it's so depressing. All that shit went down in the first term and my fellow citizens *still* cast votes for him. Many didn't realize how bad he was the first go-round, but this time they deliberately signed up for more of the same.

20. Today is a very sad day.
I am hoping that more Americans wake up to the atrocity that is being coronated today. I did have two friends who voted for Bush come over to my side, unfortunately too late, but better late than never.

I also think that there will be a huge backlash in our favor. John Kerry did receive an awful lot of votes and he does have the most liberal voting record in the Senate. To me, that shows some hope. Please, God, some hope.

...the huge smiling picture of "their" leader is not what I expect when I log on to DU.

For a second I thought maybe "they" had taken over. Or maybe I had made a mistake.

Then I remembered that today is a special occasion in the Amerikan Empire and the DU admin were just doing their best to commemorate the coronation.

that we let this bafoon divide our nation. Evil only sires more evil and that man in my opinion on the front page is as evil as they come. He has/had the chance to be a peacemaker instead of the divider that he is, but instead he chose divider and I will not let him snow me over to believe that he is actually doing good in the world.
