Thread for those who don't want to hear about coronation.
We need a place to hide today. I don't want to see or hear a single thing about the fu**ing coronation. I want to think happy thoughts.

I have a good weekend weekend coming up. Anyone have anything cool going on?

12. I'm reading this great book "The Intimate World of Abraham Lincoln"
Edited on Thu Jan-20-05 12:00 PM by terrya
by C.A. Tripp.

In the book, Tripp (a former research assistant to Alfred Kinsey) makes a pretty convincing case that Lincoln was homosexual (Tripp, using the extant evidence of Lincoln's relationships with various men...including Joshua Fry Speed, his law partner in Springfield and the man he shared a bed and loving relationship with for 4 years....rates Lincoln as a 5 on the Kinsey scale....predominantly homosexual, with heterosexual tendencies). The book is a fascinating read.

19. I'm lucky.... sort of.
Classes have just started for the new semester at City College in SF, and with a full-time workload (all of it split between advanced mathematics and physics) and a part-time job on the side (at Tower Records), I'm probably going to be too preoccupied with my own shit for the next few months.

The plus side is that I don't have to deal with the coronation today, since I'm too busy dealing with school and work. The down side is that I won't have as much time to get involved with organizations like MoveOn or DFA as I'd like, since I'm too busy dealing with school and work.

22. I was a physics major too!
It's so much work, but I love that stuff. I'm a high school physics teacher now. (What I teach is a tad bit easier than our junior level Mechanics and E & M.;))

24. Thank God. I hoped someone would start one.
Otherwise I would have done it myself.

So...anyone ever read of Christopher Moore's books? I've read "Fluke," "Bloodsucking Fiends," "Island of the Sequined Love Nun," and "Coyote Blue." Right now I'm reading "Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal."

Very funny. I recommend them to anyone who has a taste for the bizarre.
