Hey bleary eyed, broken hearted Red Sox fans....

Was last nights debacle the beginning of the end for the Hub faithfuls? I fear that it is.

Last night they had the game wrapped up and the pen couldnt hold. Once again Pedro left the game with a lead and ended up with a no-decision. C'mon guys this is the playoffs!

The bullpen is just terrible and it showed last night. Kim cant pitch in the post season, just cant do it. Embree and Timlin, 2 Padres outcasts, are not even close to being ofmajor league caliber, and dont blame it on Lowe, he just put the last nail in the coffin.

I love the Sox and have been a fan for 40+ years and I just have that sick feeling in my gut that its over.

Whats up with Manny? He played with the energy and enthusiasm of a 3 toed sloth last night.

Please Sox, prove me wrong, make me look silly!!

we only need to win one in Oakland.

Manny on the other hand played like a small boy last night. I am surprised he didnt try to engage Johnny Damon in a rock fight.

and am afraid that I'm forever pessimistic. I might need a good headshrinking.

Last night was almost like game-6 in 86. So close but soooo far away.

I'm watching thegame now and am tempted to take out those rosary beads my ma gave me for 1st communion. I knew they might come in handy sometime.

mentioned messing up 2 double plays and lack of hitting when the opportunity was there to break it wide open. They never mentioned Manny but I was pretty pissed at him last night.

I'm glad I could sleep late this morning. 2:50 was a heck of a time to go to bed. I feel bad for the young fans who couldn't stay up to watch the game.

Thank goodness Joe and Jerry are doing radio; I can't stand the ESPN announcers. :)
