I'm a diehard Mariner boy, however I'm rooting for these two groups of long suffering fans to get their teams in the Big Dance. For the legacies of both these historic franchises, I hope one of them will finally get that "wait until next year" right now. I'm a sucker for loyalty and Cubs-Sox dyed-in-the-wool fans epitomize it. End the agony!

1. The Sox are out of it.
Wait. You must mean the Red Sox. Oops.

It's just that, where I live, if we hear Sox-Cubs........

You know what I mean.

3. Thats what I thought too
Sox only means one thing to me.
Especially when someone says "Sox/Cubs"

But I hope for RED Sox/Cubs.

4. Somehow posted this after the original thread was locked.
Crazy. Well, here goes.

I'm not much of a baseball fan in general, but to say that you don't like the Sox in these parts is almost a sin.

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if there were riots in Boston just for the Sox making it to the Series.

NO-MAAAAAAAH!

5. yeah, it would go to 3 games each
and then a massive meteor would destroy the stadium in the 9th inning of the 7th game with the bases loaded and the scores tied, just to preserve the mystery.

6. I'm with you.
How great would that be? That's what being a fan is all about. BTW, I'm a Reds fan and I'm still holding junior against you guys! Way to shlub him off. :)
