Does your town have an Oktoberfest?
Edited on Thu Oct-02-03 04:08 PM by Padraig18
Ours doesn't, but there are several communities nearby that do. I'm going to the one in Charleston, IL, this Saturday. We went last year and it was TONS of fun! Brats, beer, German 'oom-pah' bands, street dancing, etc. . :)

2. We do.
It's at Larimer Square in downtown Denver at the last two weeks of September.

Too bad I missed it. I could use a beer (or two) after a film I saw. Deforestation sucks.

3. At Least Two
One sponsored by the city and another by our local German-American Club. The latter is smaller and better with true German food and beer.

10. Not my town specifically, a town near here has one though.
Actually, it's called Wurstfest and it's held annually in New Braunfels, TX - uh, yeah, NB was settled by Germans, in case you were wondering. :D

www.wurstfest.com Oh, and it's held from the Friday before the first Monday in November and runs for 2 weeks.

11. Try Lacrosse, Wisconsin some time.
Huge crowds, lots of beer, and the parade lasts for about 4 hours. I wasn't able to make it this year, but you can bet I will be there next year.
