Stupid things for love

Have any of you done something stupid for someone you loved or thought you loved? It can be about someone else too.

I was thinking about this because this guy I know, who has proven himself to be a dumbass, just barely left his girlfriend. She was so mean to him and would come home drunk with her sister and threaten to kick his ass (he's like 60, mind you). He worked two jobs, gave her his paycheck and she would buy his bus pass and give him 20 for the week (She didn't even work!). I can't say I blame her because he was a dumbass to take all of that.

Also, I know someone who's father chose his girlfriend (who insisted on having them take down pictures of their dead mother and who called the police on the girl) over his children.
