My God, the wind!!!!!!
I'm here in Boston and it is just howling... and I can't keep the house very warm at all. I hate winter.

4. Hey Betty
Here's a snuggle for you.

I hate winter too.

A friend of mine is going on a seven day cruise to Jamaica and the Caymans on Monday.

I hate him.

It's like 8 degrees here in Kansas City and while we don't have the wind tonight we had it last night.

13. Thanks
I need something to keep me warm tonight... I have one kitty, but she's tiny. She does her best, though.

5. We just got about 10 inches of snow in Delaware
And I have huge piles of it around my driveway now. We're supposed to get crazy winds tonight and if I wake up and it's back in my driveway, I'm going to be pissed.

7. You should have shoveled itover into the neighbors drive way
I expect with that wind it will be in yours by the AM. I noticed while out shovleing it was very light snow. I carried it some distance so I wouldn't find it back in the same place when I get up.. like my drive lol

19. I know, but....
There was tons of snow and I felt that I had to at least make a dent in it. I did throw it farther than I usually do, but there's so much I'm afearin' it's return to it's original position. And actually, I really made kind of a protective wall around my driveway, so maybe it got packed down a little and will stay in place, thus preventing the lighter snow from blowing onto my driveway. I know, I know...and maybe they'll do a re-vote in Ohio with enough voting machines and Kerry will be declared the winner and Bush will resign.

Hysterical! LOL I can't stop laughing aloud! The dog is whining, looking at me like he did on the 20th, except my tears were the "Real Deal." Oh, sorry, that was FDR, not GWB. Sorry!

8. I live near the top of a mountain in West Virgnia...
... and the whole house shakes when hit by some of the stronger gusts. It's so cold the trees snap and crackle when they sway. I keep thinking one of them is going to come down. We were supposed to get 10-14" of snow but only got 6 or 7". How's the snow in Boston?

10. It's blowing so hard
that I am not sure how much is new snow falling and how much is already fallen and being blown around, but it's really low visibilty out there.. thank God I didin't have to go anywhere; last year I had to drive in a horrible blizzard like this and I was scared shitless.

My house is shaking too, when the really strong gusts come.

40-50mph sustained winds, 70-75mph gusts, and up to 30" of snow by tomorrow afternoon.

18. Yeah, I hate to admit it but...
...I love this kind of weather. At night I open the bedroom window a crack just to hear the wind howl. Drives my wife to the other bedroom.

24. I just added Boston to the list of cities in my WeatherBug Pro
weather program. WOW!!! The Newton HS weather station reports:
Temp: 24 F (windchill 13)
Wind: 13 MPH (average 12, gust 41)
Humidity: 100%
The local cameras don't paint a pretty picture either!

I'm here in Seattle, and am just getting ready to head outside. At 54 F, I'll certainly put on a jacket, but it won't be a polar expedition. The ladybug icon in the system tray just started blinking to notify of an Alert: BLIZZARD WARNING (That's for Boston, not Seattle!)

pnorman

If you have broadband and are usually on-line, that's a neat program. Here's the website: http://www.weatherbug.com/ The free version has advertising, but you still get a lot of useful information.
