2. There's a little known movie called "The Uncanny"
Three cat tales (not Stephen King's), one of which featured a neglected elderly woman dying and her multiple cats feasting on her body because they had no food. We used to watch that movie on HBO all the time; my dad would say, "Not that damn cat movie again!" I wish I could find it on VHS.

8. That's the first thing I thought seeing the thread subject
Check eBay cuz I rented the VHS version years ago so you might find a used copy. That was a great little movie and I think Valerie Hobson played the elderly woman.

9. Does this mean I'm not the first to think of this
obvious question?

3. My doggie is too much of a gourmet to ingest me
I'm old and tough. He'd tut-tut the very thought.

He's not above selling my body to science though.

4. Should it? No. WOULD it? The uncomfortable answer is yes.
I'm pretty sure this was spawned at least in part by the story about the kid who cooked up a rabbit and guinea pig for his life sciences class. In the thread someone mentioned only feeding their cat 100% complete vegan food (which is dangerous and not a little cruel to the cat) and then some people rightly brought up the fact that the cat is a carnivore by nature. Do animals eat their dead owners? Yes. Will I trouble myself to dig up a news article? No, but it should not be difficult.

Taurine: Deficiencies can occur in dogs and cats fed vegetarian diets, as taurine (or the precursors for taurine) is present in meat but not in vegetables. link

6. of course they would
they only use me now because I can open cans and bags. That would eliminate the middle process for them.

7. Oh please
I often think The Little wouldn't even wait til I was dead. I've awakened to fell her taking speculative licks then tentative bites to see if I was still reacting.
