I'm thinking I have about 3500. Edited to add that I looked it up an it is 4546. Can't remember when I looked last but at the beginning I was very aware of the numbers.

She feels as if I don't pay her nearly enough attention...i.e. I only played fetch 918 times today instead of 1,000.

Me, I am slowly working on getting back to healthy. I am way better with just a touch of wheeziness in my lungs and a slight herniation of my surgery...so I must not do stairs or lift anything...Today is my first day back at DU with a passion and it is so wonderful to be back.

when I showed up in November of '03, the 1000+ thing was already going on if I remember right.

that one wanted to get to the next level to get recognized and congratulated on line for achieving that number of posts. Probably why they did away with it. Oh, well, on to newer and better things.

I hang out here when I have the time. I'm busy working a job and running a business so I can't be here a whole lot anymore. Post count is the furthest thing from my mind.

It's the name of a song by a band called "Mansun", and it was playing when I had to think of a screen-name to log into a network back at uni. The song was playing, I thought the word "Taxloss" sounded good, and since then I've used it whenever I would rather not use my real name.

Mansun are a pretty good band, incidentally. They've written some very good songs.

being our pres. then and if so, tell me your platform now because I wil be really, really, really old then, if alive and I need to know in advance who to tell my grandchildren to vote for.

I would like to run for public office. I'd eligable to run for president much earlier, but I want to work my way up the ladder, so to speak. I would want to run as the Pennsylvania Governor with past US Senatorial experience.
I would be for lowering significantly the taxes of the poor and lower middle class, and lowering the taxing of the rest of the middle class, though not as much. I would either keep them as is or raise the taxes of the rich. If you can afford it, you can pay it.
Welfare social programs would be expanded greatly, universal health care if we don't have it yet. I would also put in place a safety net, where the government provides for anyone who recently lost a job and anyone who is seriously trying to find one. Of course there would be agencies to make sure people were serious. I like bush's Faith based initiative and would make sure that all religious institutions were funded adaquetly and equally. All sects would be funded, as long as they helped anyone who came through their doors.
Defense budget would be cut by at least 2 billion to create the best education system in the world, teachers paid 6 figure salaries. Doctors would be protected from frivolous lawsuits (big issue where i'm from) but of course people could sue and possibly charge them if malpractice is proven.
Everyone will and shall be equal. Women will be paid as much as Men, affirmative action would be greatly amended so it was as fair to all as possible. I would want Roe V Wade overturned, but not before we fix society to a point where women would have no fear bringing a child into the world. Until that point, roe v. wade stands.
Like I said, defense would be cut, but of course I would make sure it was funded enough to have the best hardware and equipment. Internationally, all major treaties would be signed and the US would take a greater role in the international community and we would NEVER START A WAR ALONE! OR START A WAR, PERIOD!
I would make it a point to visit every state at least twice every year of my presidency. There will be no more forgetting the mid-west and the other small states. EVERYONE IS INCLUDED.
