Are these the only people of conscious in the US Senate?
Akaka (D-HI)
Bayh (D-IN)
Boxer (D-CA)
Byrd (D-WV)
Dayton (D-MN)
Durbin (D-IL)
Harkin (D-IA)
Jeffords (I-VT)
Kennedy (D-MA)
Kerry (D-MA)
Lautenberg (D-NJ)
Levin (D-MI)
Reed (D-RI)

A bakers-dozen of heros who stood up against Rice. No Clinton, no Schumer, no Biden, and hmmmm, no Lieberman.

These Senators deserve our thanks.

1. I wish I had a senator to whom a letter would have made any sort of
difference.

8. Me too bob but
I have found that all of them like to hear from us so I just send my letters to the congress critters from other states. They rarely reply but the times I have called I have been thanked by the staff and told that they appreciate it. For the time being that has at least given me something because mine are all Republicans and rarely even answer me anymore.

12. The two senators from Idaho
Are so steeped in the Kool-Aid that contacting them for any reason is absolutely worthless. Their replies clearly indicate they don't give a shit what I think, and why should they? Crapo was re-elected this year with over 99% of the vote. I had to *write in* a Dem candidate.

21. Holy crapo!
For a while there, I thought you were making some play on words for his name...

But his name is actually Crapo!

Only a Republican...

25. Yep. It is.
I like to call him CRAPpo, but it's actually pronounced CRAY-po.

The feces of either a crayon or crayfish... however you want to look at it :)

17. Sorry, I don't see this as black-or-white thinking... this nomination
and subsequent approval of this particular person is an outrage unparalleled in US History.

This was the time to make a stand. Well, actually the time to make the stand was four years ago, but since they missed that time, this was the time.

It is all downhill now for the next 4. There will be no opposition of any meaningful kind to whatever ** wants.

Will it be the end of the Democratic Party? Could be.

I hope I'm back home in time to cast my vote for him again in 2006.
