What should I do? ("Live-Journal" ish)

Okay, first off- I am a friggin' nerd, so this will be amusing to those of you with lives. Secondly, I don't usually post drivel like this EVER, and I am ashamed for it, but I am curious to hear some advice.


Anyway, My best friend from elementary school and I were nerds. We grew up together and were really good friends. I moved about 30 miles away but we kept in touch- after I moved, him, me, and another friend would get together every friday night in 8th and 9th grade 3-4 years ago and play Age of Empires over his LAN. I have lots of memories of those times, and it was great fun.

Well, then he got a bunch of FREAK Goth nerds that came to his LAN parties, and they started to suck. And they started to play Halo on XBOX, which was agony enough, but playing it with freaks was even worse. Then he got involved more with the freak crowd and he turned into a total jerk who tried to avoid every encounter with me. Me and the other kid were mad at him so we TP'd his house about... 4 times.

I hadn't spoken to him in a year when I randomly decided to fire up my old AIM account and there he was. I said "hi" and we got talking and he invited me to one of his "new" LAN parties- there are freaks there- I hate basically every kid there and don't want to go.

But for old times sake, just to see one old friend- should I go?

and if I didn't like what was going on, I would leave. Maybe you can ask your other friend to go along, and at least you will have someone to hang with if you have to leave.

I don't know. The kid has turned into a real dick and I think he has only invited me at the behest of his mother, who is friends of my mom.

I am tired too, and you stay up all night at LAN parties and then I have to go to my brothers birthday party the next day... maybe I will just stay home tonight.
