I was throwing one of my typical bitch fits over what's going on with the government these days and a buddy of mine said I should check this place out. He said he doesn't post here (he works for a paper that's pretty conservative and doesn't want to take chances, whatever that means) but it's a great place to keep an eye on what's happening with our government.

I'm 36, divorced with two wonderful little boys, 11 and 8 years old. I've only been politically "aware" since Bush stole the 2000 election. I think I learn pretty fast though, and what I've learned about the republican party has not been pretty to say the least. I'm looking forward to continuing my political education here, it seems like you folks have the same mindset I do.

I didn't know where to start! I wanted to introduce myself but I can't start a new discussion, so I tried to find something not-so-serious as a starting point.
