cause it's easier to ignore him than Tom Cruise. At least in Germany.
But I hate, I really hate Tom Cruise. Only Meg Ryan is worse.

Rich Germans finance Hollywood and Tom Cruise. Rich Germans fincance big Cinema-palasts that doesn't make any profit at all and are not supposed to make profits, to not pay tax. The small cinemas go bankcrupt.

And all that's left are big cinemas showing Tom Cruise and Meg Ryan. And everybody hates them.

I hate the Empire (sometimes), but even more so I hate Tom Cruise - if I wouldn't just spend so much time hating Meg Ryan.

5. I still like Joel.
I know I got into a little spat with Rabrrrrrr here about him. But I'm afraid I'm going to have to completely agree with him about Cruise. With the exception of the Color of Money (which I actually like more for Paul Newman), I think he and his movies are terribly overrated (Jerry Maguire comes to mind). Don't get me started about Colin Farrell either (a guy who looks like he hasn't bathed in 10 years).

However, he does not offend me. Tom Cruise, on the other hand, makes my skin crawl.

What we need in this country is a system of censorship (run by me of course) that will ensure that Tom Cruise is obliberated from memory, Big Brother style.

10. I don't like anything he's done lately but he gets major points in my book
for the song "Allentown" alone. He's a decent pianist, he's a good liberal. He's cool with me.

I can't think of anything Cruise has going for him.


One thing they have in common: Both lost super-hot women.

He went to my mother's high school in Long Island and was in my aunt's class. They knew him "when", so to speak.

His music doesn't bother me, but Tom Cruise's acting does.
