When was the last time you snooped in on the Freepers??

someone here mentioned the free republic site last night so i thought it was about time i checked it out.

i can't believe how horrible those people are. (...yea, i guess i can believe it)

there was a post about an article from the bbc about this 17 year old boy who fell off a cliff when a dog approached him. he died. and they were making fun of it! of this young boy.
at first i didn't read the article, i only read the heading for it. then there was a picture of him that i saw. and then i started reading their comments--i found them so disturbing i thought i was going to throw up.
then someone said something about the angels laughing at him for being stupid, and 72 virgins. and (stupidly) i wondered why they talked about the 72 virgins thing. so i scrolled back up and looked at the kid's name and read the article. he was a muslim.

there is no compassion in these conservatives. they are not christ-like in their christianity. they are appalling.

It's not pleasant reading what comes out of such minds, is it.

Imagine working in prisons for the criminally insane; exactly these type of people are the inmates. I don't know how the staff keeps their own sanity, dealing with them.

I could imagine it's like watching inmates in a mental asylum. The posts at FR indicate that many seem to suffer from severe psychological disorders. They show a high degree of tolerance for violent fantasises and a simplistic understanding of complicated subject matter.

But they are really bigots. Right now they hate Muslims. Thirty years ago it was blacks. Sixty years ago it was Jews. And they always hate gays.

I typed in my user ID into Google a few days ago, and lo and behold, one of my DU posts was on Freeperville.

by clicking on the link to FR. We know they exist, we know they are the scum of the earth and we know that most everything written there is going to alarm and sicken us. There are no circumstances that I can imagine whereby I would ever read anything written there again.
It's like our sewer system. I know it exists, but I'm not going to inspect it out of any sense of morbid curiosity.
I suggest you free yourself of the inclination to look at the horrible auto wreck of a blog that is FR. I'm not saying to forget that they exist, because we must be aware of our enemy. But to capriciously visit there because of morbid curiosity does you no service. Disregard them for your own peace of mind.

I come across enough freepers on other boards and that's sickening enough. I don't need to seek them out!

Do they call themselves "freepers"?

Though they tend to spell it FReeper, they add capital FR to the front of many thing, thus also FRegards (rather than regards).

They call us DUmmies rather than DUers.

Because freeper sounds so naturally derogatory. I gotta laugh!
