Finally Free
After 23 years in the Navy this administration finally drove me out with their bull. I knew about 6 months after they stole the election I needed to get out. Couldn't stand serving under a deserter or a bunch of chickenhawks.

Got my DD214 today and now I'm free to say "kiss my ass bush and all you right wing traitors." I sure hope you all end up in jail!!!!!!!!

4. I'm what is know as a mustang
retired as a Lieutenant Commander. Went from Chief to Officer ranks 13 years ago, back before the repubs started claiming that all military personnel were repubs.

3. Congratulations and thanks for your service!
You have now regained the freedom of speech you lacked while in the military defending that same freedom for the rest of us.

of service with *'s signature on it. Bleeech.
All you have to do is "lose" it during an admistration you like, and they will make another one.

Enjoy the world. It is a strange place.

17. It was pretty funny
at my retirement ceromony, all my rightwing co-workers started cracking up laughing as my discharge was read and they said * name. They all knew how I felt. Even I had to smile as they came to the name.

13. It's a two way street
It's a two way street, I also don't have to salute or stand at attention in certain peoples presence anymore. It also was not all that great anyway.

welcome to the ranks of has been sailors.....former sk2/ss here....honorable discharge due to being non-deployable...AKA-i got the kids when the wife ran off and they didn't want to spare a dime to move me back to shore duty on the mainland from hawaii...despite the fact i had a solid 9 years of sea time and my sea/shore was 3/2 at the time...oh well...i saw the world, met some great people, have a chest-full of stories to tell and got to serve onboard some of the finest submarines that ever sailed...no regrets or hates here.....

remember, its a bathroom, not a head...it's a wall, not a bulkhead, and its a ceiling, not an overhead...lol....welcome to civie-land friend.....

I got out of the Navy in 1974. It takes about a year to adjust to civilian life.

Even though I retired from the USCG, I spent my first 4 in the Navy, as a Hosptial Corpsman with the USMC. Now you see why I moved to the CG?

20. Thanks for your service, and welcome to civilian life.
Congratulations on the whole mustang thing. All the best officers I served with, including my tank platoon leader in the Gulf, were Mustangs. My dad was also a mustang. I'm pretty proud of that. I was not. I went into the Army as a private E-1, and got out as a Sergeant E-5. Thank you for everything. Now get out there and show those 'pukes that Democrats are brave, patriotic Veterans, too!
