How is your football weekend going?
How did your School do this week? How did your arch-rival do?

Does your pro team have favorable prospects?

Personally this is another good week. Beavers win, and the ducks. O my the ducks....wha happened guys?

Just curious, not that it bothers me. :-)

227 Yards today!

Go Vikings.

2. My Crimson Tide Lost to Georgia
...and both the 1st string and 2nd string quarterbacks are hurt.

3rd string quarterback had to go in. Dark days ahead. No O-line, no spring practice and 4 weeks to put an offense together.

13. Exactly.
So did Tennessee. I don't know why I hate them so much. And any week WVU loses is a good week, although I must confess I was pulling for them against my own will.

And since OSU didn't play, all I have is the misfortune of others to cheer me up, and I don't like it that way. I say "misfortune" because it would be fine with me if everybody else lost every week. I like nobody but my Buckeyes. I don't actually root for anybody else, I just pull for the lesser of two evils, as it were.

For the record:

Ohio State's current winning streak: 19
Michigan's current winning streak: n/a

8. Thanks, ronzo
I actually have students on the team, and have done a lousy job keeping up with them this year.

Again, thanks for the link!

12. That's Steven Jackson of Oregon State
He wears 34 because Walter Payton was his favorite. Such a sad loss.

15. Fine, other than Frank Gore's knee
My 'Canes lost the one player they could least afford to be without, especially next week at FSU. At least we already inflicted a cruel loss on the Gators, enough to make the season already.

I didn't notice if Florida won or lost Saturday. Yeah, right.

My alma mater, USC, pulled it out with a late 4-TD barrage. Whenever I make the trip to Tempe, we blow. This year I stayed home after witnessing the 'SC loss in Berkeley just last week.

I won a decent majority of my college football wagers, although the normally reliable first half betting systems have been subpar this year. Your OSU Beavers were a key selection, Twillig, primarily because teams that win straight up as a double-digit home underdog, as Cal did last week, tend to flop if they're at home again the following week and not the favorite. It's one of my prized situational angles and rarely fails.

My Dolphins have a very interesting game vs. the Giants in the Meadowlands today. Last Sunday the Dolphins finally evicted their defensive stubborness and made some long awaited changes, more zone coverage and replacing our immobile DTs with quicker DE types in obvious passing situations. Jason Taylor was even used at LB in a bizarre new "Tiger" formation. I don't know if Miami has the guts to take those new packages on the road. Our road pass defense has generally been woeful for years, and really needs to step up if we're playoff bound.

I'm a Penn State fan. I fear a long season ahead.

But the Steelers will kick Cleveland's sorry asses tonight, so all is not lost!
