Well, OK, it sounded a little canned, but dammit! he was asking for my vote to defeat the CA recall, and if he sounds a little canned while doing so, that's all right be me :-) Al, you've got my vote, buddy!

3. I got the same message

I'm also encouraged that I received at least three other calls on Sat. (including a Barbara Streisand one) regarding voting no on the recall. I just hope they aren't speaking to the choir. Also, I feel that they should've gotten involved much sooner (duh!)

8. I just got the Bill call

Now I really, really dislike our habit of lionizing the men who were or who become President: I just feel it's un-American. But, having said that, I really enjoyed hearing Bill's voice, and dammit, I think he was a good President.
