5. You are right, I am lucky - we were wearing our selt belts so we
are okay. He was just getting ready to trade in the car for another car. He isn't realy happy.

Thanks for the reminder about perspective, its all how you look at things.

14. We did, but it wasn't worth the "adventure"
we should have stayed close to the office and just walked to our favorite cafe!

9. LOL - he's a lawyer!
Because I work in the field, I am not really that litigous. Since I am not hurt (will probably be aching tomorrow) I will let him off the hook and the other driver. I considered falling out of the car, writhing in pain but the poor lady that hit us was so upset, I thought twice about it. I didn't want her to die of a heart attack. She said it was her 1st ever accident.

7. I hope everybody is ok
Why is it lucky?

Our family Corolla seems to attract rear-endings. It is a few months over 3 years old now and has been rear-ended 3 times now, and last week, somebody slid across the ice into the side of the car. Oh, and the car hit a deer about 2 1/2 years ago.

10. I've Been There
I was rear-ended in 2000 and received two herniated discs in my lower back. They wqere aggravated when i was rear-ended again in 2002. And last year, I was involved in a T-bone accident which left me with two herniated discs in my neck.

Make sure you get all the medical care you need.

18. Thanks for the welcome!
I'm getting the hang of this place now. Maybe I'll even venture into other areas soon! I've checked out a couple of other forums, trying to get my feet wet.

Oh, and as far as traffic accidents go, I still think I've got the topper. I wrecked an ambulance while transporting a woman in premature labor. :) No, she didn't have the baby, no it wasn't my fault, no there weren't any serious injuries. lol

Just remember, there are some pretty opinionated folks that post here. The majority are very witty, intelligent and well meaning. Some times passions cloud reason, but all in all, it is a great forum to have discourse and to acquire knowledge!

Again, Welcome! :hi:

17. You weren't lucky unless you started screaming, "WHIPLASH!"
You must always remember to scream 'WHIPLASH" in the future if you are rearended. Screaming "WHIPLASH" and moaning a lot can mean up to $1 million coming your way.

This has been a public service announcement of the I Don't Want to Work, I just Want to Bang on the Drum All Day Council.
