Is there any difference between Arnie and Mike Tyson?

Seems as if their technique with women is about the same.

How come one goes to prison and other to the governor's mansion?

It's the body shape and the behavior that made me suddenly see the resemblance. One goes to jail and every person in the country would support lynching the guy and the other runs for governor! Tyson the felon can't even vote. Arnie the groper is treated as if he's a respectable man.

It's interesting to compare how the two have been treated for what seems pretty similar behavior.

there's a BIG difference between saying you're wrong on this and being an Arnold apologist. I think that I've made it plain that I don't approve of Arnold, but comparing him to Tyson just isn't right.

Arnold's behavior is morally wrong. Tyson's behavior is criminal. There's a major difference between the two.

Last I look, assault is a criminal offense.

assault is an attempt to touch. You're thinking assault and battery.

As a practical rule, for there to be an assault and battery, there has to be some kind of intent to harm, or something done by the victim to tell the attacker that the contact is unwelcome.

If I walk up to you, engage you in friendly conversation, and lightly place my hand on your shoulder in a friendly manner, technically it may be construed as assault and battery. In practice, however, there's little or no chance of getting a conviction.

If I come up to you, get too close to you (ie invade your personal space), you say "get the fuck away from me, you cretin!", and I then touch you, well, there's a chance I might be convicted.

If you go up to a person and punch them in the face, breaking their nose, there's an excellent chance of a conviction.

Arnold's conduct falls under the first category. If he was a no-name Joe Blow off the street with no criminal history, acted the way he did, and somebody tried to press charges, I'd put the chances of a conviction at 5% MAX. This is irregardless of his financial or social status.

I'm not apologizing for either guy because I think they both have the same attitude toward women. I consider then both scum but that's just me.

Mike never pretended to be more than what he was.

He is mentally ill, Bi-Polar and his promoters and managers find him more aggressive without medication. When he was in prison, he was placed with the juveniles due to his mental age.

Arnie is just a controlling, arrogant bully!

The only thing Arnold is good for is playing emotionless robots.
