Meeting the needs of World Cup Rugby fans!

The best quote: ""If you look at where the game came from, the English public schools, they're very much into correction and all that."

1. Oh my! LOL
I never equated rugby and domination. However, there are a couple of All Blacks who could convince me perhaps. ;) After the Haka.

2. What? No Brit Rugby fans in the house?
I expected a better defense from some wily ex-pats.

3. Brit rugby fan reporting for duty!
The man to speak to is Pert_UK as the jammy git has tickets!

Personally I would dearly like to see England win it (and let's be honest, we have the team to do so) but my pessemistic inclinations lend me to say that I think the Kiwi's will win again.

Any thoughts on how the USA rugby team might do? Remember there ain't the sort of body armour in rugby as in American football. Give me rugby over that rubbish any day.

4. That body armour argument goes the opposite way

For cricket

Anyway, I don't know if the States will do that well. Canada will take it all though...just you watch ;-)

edit: are we even in it?

5. Yes
Canada are in the same group as Wales, New Zealand and Italy. The Kiwi's are a dead cert out of that group but I reckon the Italians could get into the next stage too.

6. Hmmm
If the Italians play rugby the way they play soccer...we should be able to tap them and they'll fall over...so maybe it won't be so bad

8. I for one would love to see a Northern Hemisphere team win
And believe me, as an Aussie the above statement is near heresy!

My logic is that the Southern Hemisphere teams have dominated for sooooooooo long, and the Northern Hemisphere teams have been sooooooooo boring, that SOMETHING needs to shake the game up and make it competitive again.

This may be one of the few (if only) times in my life I wish the Poms would win something over Australia.
