Poll question: Who is your favorite New Orleans R&B performer?

Since several of you have actually asked me to post a new music poll, I'm doing so. Anyone who disapproves is free not to participate. (Duh!)

As always, feel free to write in your favorite New Orleans R&B artist if he/she is not listed below. Happy voting!

13. the good doctor is definitely in . . .
one of my all-time favorites . . . in addition to his own stuff, he has also contributed some incredible keyboard work to other artists . . . his solo on Bromberg's "Don't Put That Thing On Me" is gorgeous . . .

9. James Booker's version of "Goodnight Irene" is one of the greatest
things I've ever heard in my life...seek it out if you don't have it on CD.

Having lived in the Vieux Carre for five years, I gotta say the best Norlins music I heard came from the dozens of prepubescent brass and drum bands I used to see in Jackson Square...Those kids were AMAZING!!! I usedta take days off from work just to catch them in action.
