Flies!

My fiance keeps the door to the sunroom open when we're cooking out. I understand why he does it since I know he needs to watch the fire/coals in the pit. BUT...it lets in lots and lots of flies.

We've both spent lots of time swatting the flies and yesterday we went to WalMart and bought fly strips. So far, so good except we're cooking out today. Grrrr!

One afternoon last week, I swatted 26 flies that had made there way up into the main part of the house.

I can't use any type of bug spray because I don't want to accidentally poison my 2 cats or my puppy dog.

Anyone have any suggestions other than kicking ye olde fiance outside when we cook out or not cooking out at all?
