9. apparently he supports Che, serial psychopathic murderer of peasants
Communists didn't ever exist in the cold war, they were totalitarian bureaucratic dictators, Marx wrote Das Capital as a result of reading a 1778 anthropological paper about the culture of the eastern coastal native American culture. which was actually Communistic in nature, the People prevented suffering in their communities by helping the less fortunate... that doesnt sound so evil to me.

5. I Don't Indulge Myself
But I have a cousin that's undergoing Chemotherapy and a little "weed" is the only thing that's keeping him eating right now.

In this case, I think a little "self-medication" is warrented.

12. threat or menace to whom?
those, like asscroft, who recognize that global south and other of the u.s.' "resource colonies" and literal colonies could approach, if not attain economic independence, if not wealth, by supplying the world with one of Nature's finest (multi-multi-multipurpose) natural gifts?

if so, of course it's both, to them.

isn't making it illegal then against their lying global free trade schemes?

14. Hemp is a serious threat the Oil companies, and Fascist Paper companies
paper is subsidized by strip mining forests off public lands at tax payers expense. We could become oil independent with Hemp oil that burns very clean and is renewable, Agricultural hemp has no drug in it. we could sustain fiber needs on 20% of the land now being ruined by clear cutting. Hemp was made illegal soon after Dupont filed a patient for making acid paper from pine trees and bought off elected politicians make it illegal and acquire access to public lands. he bids are ridiculously cheap and the state has to cut the roads into the sites... making the product eventually free and destroying all competition. Ag hemp could be a 150 billion industry nearly overnight and no one would get high, but the Chinese who sell it to us would be hopp'n mad.

25. Ever hear of
William Ranfoph Hearst?

http://www.greenspun.com/com/zpub/sf/history/willh.html

During the years 1916-1937, William Randolph Hearst created a yellow journalism campaign to associate hemp with marijuana. Even though smoking hemp, like most fibers, will just make you sick, Hearst, along with his friend Pierre Dupont, succeeded in outlawing hemp in America. They actually robbed the world of an environmental cash crop.

Why would they do such a thing? Because instead of using hemp for paper, clothing, fuel, oils, resins, medicines, and many other uses, we now use paper and synthetic petrochemicals. Hearst owned huge forests and interests in lumber mills. Dupont made synthetic fuels and fibers (nylon, rayon, plastics) from petroleum.

29. Hemp helped win the war
Edited on Sun Oct-05-03 04:42 PM by Best_man23
During World War II, hemp was grown in several US states to make up for shortages of material from East Asia. In fact, even Poppy Bush was saved by hemp as the riggings in his parachute were made from hemp, his airplane's engine was partially lubricated by hempseed oil, and the firehoses on his ship and the prep schools he attended were made from, you guessed it, hemp.

ATTN FREEPERS: You CANNOT get high from smoking hemp!

Hemp cannot be smoked for a high. It's not the exact same plant as marijuana.

Marijuana is neither a threat no a menace. It is a gift from our creator that helps us in oh so many ways. Nothing like a big ole fatty at the end of the day.

33. A gift from God
I went to the Midewest Marijuana Harvest Fest in Madison, WI this Saturday and I was rather moved by the speeches. Really, marijuana is good and Ashcroft, Bush, and Chaney are murders, thieves, and liars. That's what Ed Rosenthal said anyway.
