Tammy denies killing her husband, but she admits he died from an enema.

She showed Eyewitness News photos her husband, Michael Warner, had taken of his own collection of enema bags and equipment. Tammy says her husband used those bags just about every day of his life.

"When he was a child, from my understanding, his mother started giving them to him," Tammy explained. "He depended on that for using the restroom."

The use escalated, says Tammy, when her husband would drink. She says Michael was an alcoholic and would fill the bags with sherry or wine.

Tammy said, "He'd open the clamp and take in what he wants, how much he wanted, then he'd close the clamp and lay there until he wanted more and then he'd open his clamp back up."

And that's what he was doing the night he died, says Tammy. Her attorney says her client should not be held responsible for the actions of her husband.

Attorney Jyll Rekoff explained, "Why this case has become so popular is because he chose to ingest the alcohol by way of an enema. If Mr. Warner had been drinking from a glass at dinner that night and later on died, we wouldn't be here. It's the fact that the enema makes it a sensational issue."

It makes me want to lie flat on my back with my legs tightly clamped together.

Technically, I know it can be done, and I've read of some prescription drug abusers partaking of their concoctions this way, but I've never heard of an alcoholic imbibing with this method.

I suppose if you just let 'er rip, you could ingest way too much alcohol without your body being able to react and rid itself of it in the normal manner: :puke:

I wonder how common it is for parents of young children to do this? I'll bet it's more common than most of us realize. Toilet training is inconvenient and messy. It would never occur to me to do something this hideous, but there are a lot of hideous people out there.

Based on just the news article, the woman's story has the ring of truth. I don't know anything else about the evidence or the trial, though.

The whole enema fetish is just not my thing, but I have no problem with those into it and I've heard my share of stories over the years, as I already said in the other thread.

What makes me mad is when a person is selfish about their fetish and doesn't think about the harm that can be caused to the person left behind.

I honestly believe that anyone who has played enema games since the 70s has a responsibility to take a few minutes out and educate themselves on how to do it safely. It sounds like he was very very lucky that he even lived this long if he has been doing sherry up the butt for decades. Why the hell didn't he stop and consider what would happen to his wife if he accidentally overdosed in this manner?

Can you imagine what it is like for her going through this and having to open it up to the world that her husband was involved in this rather unpopular activity for years and years? Not to mention that there's a good chance her story to the average Joe Q. Public on a jury is going to sound so wild that they won't believe her.
