They're late! By law, they have to be postmarked by January 31
(the W-2's, that is), so somebody's a slacker!

4. Like I said, I'm getting a rebate! When I owe, it gets postmarked on
April 14th!

I waited until the 15th one year and I was a nervous wreck all day!!!!

6. Just finished mine
Sweated through the process, thought I would have to pay but I get a little money back. At least it is done and out of the way until next year.

10. I may check into it
One year (back while Clinton was pres), I waited until the last minute, only to discover ... I was getting a return! I doubt it'll be that way this year, though.

11. Good Lord--you're quicker than me!
I should say that I usually do mine early, and depending on the outcome (rebate or payment) I either send right away, or hold to mail with the check!

5. Accountant is crunching the numbers right now.
I've had a guy do my taxes for about 10 years now. His fee is not cheap, but one year I thought I would keep him honest and I bought a copy of TaxCut. What he got me back vs. what TaxCut did was more than his fee. So I gladly hand over my forms and get back a nice packet with my completed return. And may I say that E-file and electronic deposit FUCKING ROCK???

15. Last year I did my own taxes
not this year, too many financial changes. So, I went to H&R Block, whoa! they are expensive. The guy was great, at least I don't need to worry about the taxes being incorrect.

SS messed with me because I didn't know they were not taking out taxes, this hurt but still have a return. Guess I'll do a W2 at their office next week.

E-file and electronic deposit is fantastic.

I filed mine two weeks ago.
First time in 6 years I'm actually getting money back. Well, sort of. I still owe money from last year so it will go towards that balance, but I don't owe them anything for this year!

I owe the state $1. I wonder if they'll let me slide since I never cashed the $3 tax return check I got from them last year...

I'm getting about $1,000 total--state and federal--it'll help pay for my trip to Europe in April!

24. I already have my (small) refund in the bank.
I used Tax-act on line using my last paycheck for the year instead of my w-2. I kept good records for other items so there was no reason not to e-file.
