4. hmmmm...
quiet
smart
not arrogant or over confident
not the type to flirt with women
very interested in technical things

12. If you replaced "very interested in technical things"
Edited on Sat Feb-05-05 01:14 PM by Longgrain
with "very interested in artistic things", you'd have just described me.

I suck with technical things.

8. Yes, but I soon regretted it
He was a mathematician, and while he could be sweet, he was more often annoying and prone to pick fights about trivialities.

He was highly sollipsistic, meaning that he was incapable of acknowledging, never mind accepting anyone else's point of view. He had negative social skills, and would do things such as insisting on reading aloud from The Princess Bride at a party--heedless of the fact that no one was listening.

It was also difficult to get him to bathe often enough.

I have seen nerdy guys who make wonderful husbands, but this man would not have been one of them.

Usually I like math and science guys, but he was annoying rather than endearing.

9. Did you hear about the constipated mathematician?
He worked it out with a pencil.

I have never forgotten that joke.

10. That's the type I usually fall for.
I don'tcare what people think. Most of them are stupid anyway. :)

11. Well in college, my two serious relationships
were with a math major and a pre-med. Both were about 5'8",thin, dark haired and wore glasses. My grad school boyfriend was a physics major and my now hubby was an accounting major who ended up going to law school. He's 5'8" thin and wears glasses, guess he's my type, we've been together for 21 years.

14. The bigger question would be...
Have I ever fallen for a man that wasn't? I often wonder if I should attempt to re-evaluate my choices because nerds are not the most proactive people when it comes to personal relationships. Then again, how much would I like the average idiot either?

Actually, I don't look as it so much as a negative as liking men who are extremely intelligent. How they have fit into various superficial stereotypes varied.
