1. What about bow ties on women
I think it's cute and kind of sexy.

Or am I the only one?

Or are you just biased because you were forced to wear a bow tie at some point. :P

13. I actually know
a couple of men who wear them and they wear really cool ones, I have no clue where they get them but they are very creative and colorful. Those actually look pretty awesome. Girls already spend too many years with bows, we are over it by the time we are 11.

17. Alright then.
I still think it's intriguing because, as many in this thread seem to suggest, bows represent social repression. I find it alluring to try and unravel the bow, like a bow on a Christmas present--I'm dying to find out what's inside and open it up.

So I guess it is just me. :7

52. You are NOT the only one!
I collect vintage menswear, and my sweetie is ALWAYS "borrowing" my ties....I can't stop her, because she looks so damn CUTE in them!

Not just bowties; I own over 300 neckties, and she looks HOT in those too!

a white bow tie around her neck, a la the Playboy Bunny. Looked incredible!

Or...or, um....so I've heard! :+

Otherwise, it just looks silly. Even on the late, great Paul Simon.

29. bow-ties NOT recommended.
Unless you are in Outkast, you won't manage to wear a bow-tie without looking like a socially awkward dweeb. Women won't be attracted to you.

They are just too risky for 99.9% of men to "pull off" successfully.

not "Where do they stand" - whether it's a uniform or not, I still have to look at it :)

And as I said, my feeling is they're fine, but I wouldn't wear them.

28. How about
I like when people feel free to choose their own style of what works for them, even though some people get it wrong. But I think what looks best is when people find ways to express themselves, not ways to follow trends.

I have several, and will definitely wear one to Mass tomorrow now, in honour of D.U.

That said, people who have those pre-tied ones should be summarily executed by the road-side. They're not difficult to tie, and they always come with little instruction sheets.
