...though he never hit it big. Good songwriter.

LSparkle, we still spin out Janis' voice on a turntable now and then. Amazing where we are compared to those days...

I was 13 years old locked up in a juvenile detention center for running away repeatedly from an abusive home. Freedom is just another word indeed when you're surrounded by 12 foot fences topped with Concettina wire.
It's a great song though and is on my playlist now.

...take you right back. Radio played "Sweet Leaf" by Black Sabbath, and I was right back in my teens again for awhile. Strange feeling.
