*sigh*

I'm disappointed.

I tried to have a discussion on DU about the Machiavellian scheming and plotting behind the Superbowl and about the overwhelming patriotic bent to the whole thing.

What do I get for my trouble?

This thread has been moved... to non political: sports. Where I received really good replies like "Don't be mad your team lost!" and "You're crazy!".

2. I agree with you....

I posted something on this in a thread in GD yesterday. I'm but 31 years old, but I don't recall another Super Bowl pregame with such a militaristic theme. The combine military academy choir singing the national anthem , the F-22/F-15 fly over, two former POTUS's on the field cloaked as a tribute to the Greatest Generation & WWII.

You're not alone on this one...

I was just going on half-baked conspiracy stuff, I had no idea about the military choir or the fighter flyovers.
