Got to see the doctor tomorrow...
seems all the stress in my life is starting to get the better of me.

I've never had acid reflux until I took this new job 6 months ago, and 2 weeks it was so bad, I was praying to the porcelain god for an entire weekend. It was just pure peptic acid.

Now if that hasn't grossed you out, this certainly will...

Just kidding.

Actually, my other symptom is less humbling, but just as annoying. I can't, for the life of me, relax. I used to be the uber-sloth and could relax in Fallujah. Now, I am sitting here at 1130 EST, jumping out of my skin, not tired in the least.

Crap, I need a LOOOOOOOONG vacation. (I've taken 8 personal holiday days in the last 2 years). I think my body has forgotten how to go into system idle mode.

Anyways...anybody have any stress busting tips, besides beer and green?

1. No joe, Joe
Dial back on the coffee. I drink it past 10:00 in the morning and I'm wired all night.

This is assuming that you drink coffee...ahem...

5. I have one cup of coffee around 2 or 3 times per week.
Although the joe isn't good on the upper GI tract.

6. First thing I do when I get home is don my PJs.
Sadly, no help. I wonder if it's because they're bright red and have dogs on 'em?

11. I put on my PJs too ...
and I also shake my booty to the music - Seriously this helps - I put on my favorite songs and just rock out . Nothing somber , just dance around and even dance when you cook lol .

7. This has always worked for me
Ingestion of some quality controlled substance, followed by a lot of physical activity in the bedroom, and it helps if you know his name.

But, that's just me ....................

14. And you're wondering why you're tense?
Oh, you sweet boy.

Very soon, you won't be tense any more.

You'll be far too exhausted.

But, take heart - that stage will only last about 35 years.

Good luck. :toast:

12. Wow
I have moments like that but there usually brought on by my own inability to manage things.
Then I go into crisis mode until the self-imposed stress passes.

Yes, you indeed need a vacation.
8 personal days in 24 months is deplorable.
Where the hell do you work, Abu Gharab?

I had 8 personal days LAST MONTH!!
And I work in Telecom, where they lay people off by the thousands just because it's Thursday.

You need to work on that right away.

Unless your working on a cure for cancer, or tracking OBL, you need some personal time.

NOW.

If you are jumping out of your own skin, and you can't sleep, that's not good.

Whatever it is that's got you all knotted up inside and out, you need to ask yourself...

Is it worth it?

If your going to be up all night my friend, you should be in Vegas HAVING FUN!!!

Take care and I hope everything goes well for you tomorrow.

16. I like to refer my cubicle as "the coal mine"
I arrived at work at 8 this AM. Spent all day putting out my boss' fires...he's a fukkkkking idiot. Got home, had dinner. Answere more of my boss' idiotic e-mails. I just finished the last freaking e-mail at 1100.

Argh...8 more weeks of this hell, then they're supposed to give me another promotion. It better be freaking worth it.

that's getting out of hand.

As for the stress, I hope not. I'm not a medication kind of guy.

18. I hope you're feeling better.
I have colitis (hope not too much info.), and it's aggravated by stress. I had to go on anti-anxiety and anti-depressant meds, and am doing therapy as well. Perhaps you won't need to do meds for the stress. There are coping mechanisms (healthy ways...not drinking..that's a depressant) you can learn to deal with stress. They say exercise is also good. I need to take my own advise there. Good luck, dude! :)
