Why Didn't They Think of This Before?

Why Didn't They Think of This Before?
Whenever Democrats get together, a prominent theme is that the problem with their party doesn't lie in its ideas; the problem is that they need to find better ways of articulating those ideas. Thus, once again, with the anointing of Howard Dean as DNC chairman. ABC News reports:
Dean told Democratic committee members Friday that it's important to learn to be more comfortable discussing the party's core values."The way I hope to deal with that problem, is not to abandon our core principles, but talk about them in a different way," he said.
Democrats are not pro-abortion, but "we are the party in favor of allowing women to make up their own minds about their health care," Dean, a physician, said.
Democrats are not for gay marriage, but "we are the party that has always believed in equal rights under the law for all people," he said.

I think I'm beginning to understand. Dean thinks the Democrats should call themselves "pro-choice" instead of "pro-abortion." And they should never say they actually think gay marriage is a good thing, but just keep referring to "equal rights" and let the courts do the dirty work. Wow, no wonder Howard Dean is considered to be such an iconoclast! He's coming up with some dynamite new marketing ideas for the Democrats.

The Fordham Law Republicans are sponsoring a screening of a 46-minute documentary Brainwashing 101 on Thursday, February 24th, 2005, at 6 p.m. The film, which analyzes political correctness on college campuses, was recently named one of the ten best documentaries of 2004 by the Liberty Film Festival.
Brainwashing 101 will be shown in the McNally Amphitheater of Fordham Law School at 140 West 62nd Street (between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues).
A question-and-answer session with director Evan Coyne Maloney will follow the screening. All are welcome; admission is free.
If you are not able to attend the screening, you can view or download the film online HERE.
This is from the brain-terminal guy who did all those hilariously revealing interviews with leftists at the antiwar protests

WASHINGTON -- As Howard Dean's presidential campaign sputtered to closure one year ago, the candidate and a half dozen trusted aides began gathering in his Burlington, Vt., office, scribbling ideas on a white board about where to channel the fierce voter and donor energy that had already become his legacy to the Democratic Party.

(post on Free Rebuplic)
Now, if the GOP blows this oppurtunity, shame on them.
The key, will be to link Dean to as many democratic canidates as possible i.e. a vote for a democrat is a vote for Dean, and look at the lunatic Dean is.

Its pretty clear that Deans not going to be just a fundraiser, he is going to be involved in the nuts and bolts of the operation and a hands on micromanager.

This is a good thing, it seems like he's willing to blow money is areas where it will do no good (see DNC and the Florida Governors race), thus cost them dems money and resources in races that would be competitive.
