Poll question: Favorite Brian Eno album?
at the request of my husband, the Eno fan. Here are 10 of the 17 he picked out. These encompass earlier Eno albums. Please feel free to add any you prefer. These are minus the multiple collaborations.

He used to woo me with these late at night when we were young. :)

1. Whichever one has "Baby's On Fire" on it..
I'm drawing a blank here; embarrassingly..

2. Isn't that Taking Tiger Mt?
I voted for Another Green World, overall, but I love Baby's on Fire.

6. Fripp's guitar on "Baby's..." is amazing..
Kind of of like Keith Richards' solo on "Sympathy For The Devil" played sideways..

That's a tough call
I gotta go with MUSIC FOR FILMS, though.

I love APOLLO, too. If you haven't seen the movie For All Mankind yet, tell your hubby about it - lots of APOLLO music in there.

There's also a MUSIC FOR FILMS III, but no MUSIC FOR FILMS II. Either of you know what happened to it? (I already know...)

3. Another Green World is my favorite of these
The Big Ship still gets ripped off about every five minutes by "new" indie bands.

8. Definitely Apollo
That is the definitive ambient soundtrack for me

Love Music for Airports too. I take it with me whenever I fly. I once saw Bang on a Can All Stars perform it all live and acoustically. it was amazing! for an encore they did "Everything Merges in the Night"

11. Hubby says he used to play that every day for about 3 years
usually late at night and even set up a third speaker per the album insert directions. So do not feel too diabused, Rabrrr. Only special people can appreciate it, quoth he.

How many of you Eno fans also own at least one Harold Budd album?

18. he says 4
when I used to go to NYC more, I would search for Eno albums for him. Left one on a bus once. I was crushed. Luxa and the Plateaux of Mirror have been on heavy rotation at various times.

20. Eno/Byrne "My Life in the Bush of Ghosts" one of the greatest ever.
A collaboration, I know, but still one of the most brilliant uses of "found sound" ever produced. Ahead of its time and incredible.

25. "Music for Airports" & Life in the Bush of Ghosts"
Two totally opposite albums, energy-wise. I love both of them. A friend did a painting for me while under the spell of "Airports".
