I just fulfilled a long time ambition...
I made hash-browns and they didn't turn out like chunky, gray, mushy, fried potato mash!

I've never been able to do this right.

If you swear you'll donate to DU I'll tell you the secret!

1. I blanche mine in salted cold water, then cool, then grate, then fry.
