I was calling myself a "progressive" more frequently in recent years but I now realize that's allowing the RW to influence how I speak. As Dr. Dean said during his campaign, we shouldn't be ashamed to admit we're liberals, so I'm now using that word more frequently than "progressive" to describe my politics.

I guess my only point is the neocons have mastered use of the language to their own ends, and we need to learn from that if possible.
