2. My credit card company doesn't accept debit cards for payment
Capital One-I called to pay off my credit card and I was informed that they were "working on it" that being paying for your plastic card (their business) with a plastic card.

most of NYC -- including all 3 major airports; the power went out in one of their big switching centers, the backup batteries took over, but there was nobody there to start the diesel generators because the entire staff was in a "Corporate Quality" meeting. 6 hours later, the batteries ran down, and the service went out...
