will be the keynote speaker, and I am going to a cocktail party where he is the guest of honor.

I heard it sold out in 2 1/2 hours! Liberty Hall said they would have speakers outside during the event next Friday. Everyone gets to hear Howard. Party in the streets.

8. Wow! It sold out?

I am so glad I decided to drive up to Lawrence this morning to get the tickets. 2 1/2 hours!! There are great concerts that don't sell out in that time.

How many does Liberty Hall hold? My tickets are numbered in the 720s. I was there around 1:00 or 1:30. It took me almost as long as the drive was to find a place to park.

It would be neat if we could meet. How many Lawrence DUers are there? I think I will go over to the Kansas board and suggest they host a meet up after Dean speaks :hi:

10. Yep, sold out!

From what I heard, according to the set-up they were planning, is 1200. That includes balcony seating. The next largest venue was Abe & Jake's which is where the John & Elizabeth event was held which holds around 1000.

A meet-up could be arranged. The most obvious place is "Free State" next door but it is always crowded on a Friday night. Is there a place that you would suggest in Lawrence? If not, I'll get to work and arrange a place.

I could bring some flyers for Anthrax Annie's visit next month.

Come to think of it, is Johnny's Tavern still down on the other side of the river as you come into town off the turnpike? That's not too far from Liberty Hall, is it?

Yes, bring your flyers. Or at least one copy. I can make copies and I will hand them out at our next KC DU meetup.

I hope we can figure out a way to meet on Friday. I have to visit a friend before I leave town but I DO want to meet some Lawrence libruls.
