Do any lounge people NOT go to other DU boards much?

I have noticed that a lot of lounge names look different than the names I see on General Discussion and General Discussion Politics. I only ask because I spend most of my time on other DU boards and in the lounge rarely. I came over to find out what tinfoil man stood for. :tinfoilhat: Have a donut and some coffee lounge friends:donut: :hi:

It's the other places on the internet, like the fucking freeptard infested Yahoo message forum, that really catch hell from me when I'm on a tear.

I used to post more in GD before the election.

Since Gannon broke I've posted on threads related to him on GD, but that's about it..

Post occasionally in GD and LBN, but mostly post here. GD can get really hairy if you don't know your shit backwards and forwards, and I can get insecure sometimes about my knowledge base. I will get into a thread if I either have a question that hasn't been asked, or really know what I am talking about and my viewpoint or info hasn't been covered by someone else. I am usually not the first to find something out, so posting on LBN is not my bag. I will comment there, but rarely start threads.

the lounge is a really friendly place for the most part, and I can be entertained amidst the bullshit going on IRL.

I actually work in Terriers which is on the edge of Wycombe.

Were you here for military stuff? I know that R.A.F. High Wycombe is a major centre and there's also a large base at Bicester.

It's a lovely part of the country, but this is probably the most Conservative county in England.

Welcome to the lounge! I spend time reading posts in GD, etc but sometimes I just feel out of my league in there!

You see people of the same few political types having the same arguments with the same talking points over and over again.

I just can't abide by the Chicken Little mentality that occurs sometimes with every single news item, no matter how relevant or otherwise.

I used to, though, exclusively. I never came into the Lounge until the primaries got to be too much for me.

Now, when I go back into those forums, I see FAR too much discord. It makes me feel sad and hopeless.
