Have you had "The Talk" with...

your parents yet? I've been thinking about coming out to them, but I'm not quite sure if it would be the intelligent thing to do. Sure, my mother would probably be okay with it... My father is another story all together. Any stories, words of advice, etc?

it will be a big relief. Even if your father is not okay with it...give him time...he'll come around. I didn't exactly come out to my parents...actually my father outed me thru my sister. He asked her if I was gay (while driving) and she nearly had an accident. But she told him yes and he was (surprisingly) okay with it. My parents always had a hunch but they never really talked about it. I don't flaunt my gayness too much around them. But my family is cool with it. When you're ready...be prepared for some to disappoint you and not accept you (at first or at all). From then on...you'll be just fine. Hugs!
