All right here's MY Secret Confession...
Something you guys probably didn't know about me...and something I'm not too proud of...

I smoke.

There I said it! I've been trying to quit off and on, but shit-damn it sucks...

I'm stepping out for a butt right now...

5. Thanks. I know...
I've also been know to drink a bit from time to time...as well as inhale a few other things.

It's just, being a single man, it can be quite a turn-off to some women.

I mean I'll be talking to someone I like, then I pull out that hard pack in my pocket, and all of a sudden they go away...

<Sigh>

10. What methods are you trying?
I found the gum worked best for me...for almost six months I didn't smoke.

I've never tried the patch or anything else other than cold turkey... It just seems that lately I've been smoking way too much...I need to re-evaluate what I'm doing to myself.

14. I think that I am going to use gum this time.
I also am going to cut straws in half. Sounds silly, but you can suck on them like you are inhaling and keep them in between your fingers like a cigarette (since I seem to use my cig to gesture).
I have friends who used straws like this and they said that it really helped them.

18. Try those little coffee stirers...
It worked for me the one time I did quit.

You know the tiny brown ones with two spouts.

Drink your coffee with em, then spend half a day trying to suck the coffee flavor out of the straw...it does work... (kind of)

4. I smoke about 4 cigarettes a year now.
It was a pack a day in my late teens, then about 1 pack a week in my late 20's-31. I still crave it sometimes if I have a beer with people. I just don't keep any around.

6. Wow good for you Sarah!
I was only an occasional smoker until recently (I mean since last summer) Now I'm up to almost a pack and a half a day.

I really hate it, I guess I'm just going through too many things right now... :(

8. Damned stress.
I haven't had one since the end of July. I'm afraid if I start, I won't be able to stop again because of various stressors. I don't want that. I'll wait until life chills a bit to take the risk.

15. You smoke? You are EVIL!
Just kidding. I smoke too. My problem is that I enjoy it and have no intention to quit. If didn't smoke, I would be in the loony bin.

If you want to quit, I wish you all the best and hope you do quit. Then you won't be EVIL, like me.

16. Either way it's tough!
I AM planning on quiting...I just don't know when...

Part of the problem is too many of my friends smoke, and too many of the women I've been attracted to have been smokers.

I for one wish I never started...

21. I smoke too Longgrain
I keep saying to myself I'll quit when it gets bad enough, as of yet that hasn't happened, even though I have 3 inhalers that I need every day. I'm also allergic to cats, and as you know I have 2. Go figure:shrug: :hi: :pals:

22. My advice.....quit now.
Save them money. Take up exercise instead. Maybe you'll live to 99 like some sweet grandmothers who died today. Seriously, if you care about yourself, quit. You'll deny some evil tobacco corp the cash they desire. Think about it.
