What makes you thankful?

With all that has gone on these past few months, it is easy to forget how fortunate we all are. So let's pause and reflect on our good fortune.

Having said that, here is a partial list of what I am thankful for:

My life
My family and friends
Food and drink
Clothing
A home
Air
Water
Good health
Electricity
A computer
The Internet
A TV
The United States of America
The Constitution (get well soon, Constitution!)
All of our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen (bring them home!)
All who have ever fought for freedom’s cause, including my grandfathers
Great-Uncle Clarence, who died in Korea
All who fight for peace and justice in our world
The Democratic Party
Democratic National Chairman Howard Dean – boy, that sounds good right about now
Johnny Carson, Bob Matsui, Shirley Chisholm, and Hunter S. Thompson - May They Rest In Peace
My dog (we’ve had her for two and a half months) :love:

3. Thankful I am not a member of the B*sh family

That my parents weren't rightwingers or fundies
That I'm not married to a Republican
That my kids vote Democrat

My husband and 2 daughters
My dear friends

The first crocuses blooming
My 2 cats
Chocolate chip cookies

my ex-mother-in-law (I'm not kidding)

my two cool jobs
my car ('96 Saturn w/171,000 miles on it, and still going strong)
my religious denomination
the Constitution (when it's not being treated like toilet paper)
my creativity
my hopeful nature
my wicked sense of humor
my uncanny ability to interview well
