Shamrock Shakes rule!
Just got my first Shamrock shake of the season. When I ordered it, the guy next to me had already gotten his food and exclaimed "DAMNIT! I knew I forgot something!". It was great. Mmmmm mmmmm mmmm Shamrock!

4. It's a standard McDonald's Vanilla shake with Green food coloring.
I remember they made them Mint flavored one year and they sucked.

7. It has to be more than just Vanilla
I can taste a difference. As a matter of fact, I went to a McDonald's that didn't have the shamrock shakes first and went to another one just to get the different flavor. There's at least a little bit of mint in there.

13. Perhaps it varies regionally?
Or maybe I just haven't had one in a long time. I remember it was simply a green vanilla shake when I was a kid, then they went to mint and it didn't sell as well and the next year it was back to vanilla. I might just have to go get one now and update my report. Heh.

31. That's possible
It's also possible that it has changed in 10-15 years and now they have found a better tasting mint combo.

10. My memories of shamrock shakes are tarred.
I think the last time I had one, I was hanging out with a friend and his new girlfriend. We went to the Lincoln Park Zoo. Two things that struck me were that she seemed to know who had money and influence in the Chicago area (man I don't know these people who get buildings named after them) and that she was a little bit manipulative. This is the first time I'd met her, but she'd do things like walk real fast to hurry us up, until she was way ahead of us.

Then I hung out with them a week or two later when we went to go see what we could get out of this KMart that was closing down and selling everything for half price (I got like three bottles of gin for CHEAP!). On the way home, me and the friend were goofing around talking while she was on the cell phone, and she decided to turn it into the first time she went batshit on him, telling him to take her home now, saying she didn't want to go out to eat and then later saying she was hypoglycemic and had to eat, complaining about his "inner man-child", all the while with me in the backseat (this is the second time I'd ever seen her!)

So yeah, I think about her now when I think about shamrock shakes!

19. I hope my ONE Shamrock shake this year is better than last year's.
Their shake machine was apparently broken, because what I got was more like Shamrock soup. The counter person AND the manager both looked at me as if I'd grown another head when I inquired as to why my "triple thick" shake was as runny as water. They did not appear to comprehend the idea that the shake machine was in need of adjustment.

28. They had that at the McD's at my college
Before I stopped eating at McD's I would love having a double big mac once every two weeks. When I finished one I felt like I had really accomplished something. I was a skinny guy so anyone who watched me scarf one down was impressed.
