almost 3am and I can't sleep

still so pissed off about my supervisor being a total prick and there is nothing I can do about it...

and can't sleep either :shrug:

and i have TWO midterms tomorrow :grr:

i'm having insomnia as well.

The cranker gal a few streets over has had some new company. I'm ready with the 12 gauge. And I can't sleep.

from an investment ad...i'd ask them :shrug:

we picked up a greyhound for fostering about two weeks ago -- the first night was horrendous -- I ended up catching about 1 hour sleep on the futon while the dog paced and nudged

the next night and the following nights were better -- until this weekend

for some reason the foster greyhound has decided that 2am is the perfect time to be awake. I can understand the need to go outside and do his "business" -- but it's getting ridiculous -- because once I get up to take him out, our own two dogs also want to go out. Then the cats want to be fed, which means feeding the dogs as well.

I feel for you all. I just now got back up to; you can only lie there so long with your mind spinning, etc.

Just played "Ace Of Spades" by Motorhead; now playing "God Give Me Strength" by Elvis Costello and Burt Bacharach..

So I'm hear posting on DU. Will probably have to take 1/2 day off so that I can sleep in.

You just remember this.

The only thing you can truly claim are your principles. If you hold fast to what YOU know is right, no one can move you.

Don't let this prick ruin your life. When he gets irritating, imagine him as a toddler still sucking on his mama's titty. Imagine him having intestinal spasms that make Montezuma's Revenge seem like mild indigestion.

Or the reverse: think really nice thoughts about him and kill him with kindness. Passive-agressives and true dickwads HATE when you are nice to them.

Things always change. You'll get out of this situation. Don't let anyone sour your life. It's too short for that noise, baby. :hug:

sometimes I think I'm too principled

I can't even fake being nice to him, I have such a strong negative visceral reaction its like I'm about to be attacked by an ax murderer.
