The same IP keeps pinging me...
and it keeps getting blocked. I wonder how long it will take them to get around my firewall...

5. What is pinging?
Can you explain to me? I'm confused. I've never heard of this (and I know a bit about computers).

7. when one computer 'pings' another...
it is testing for a connection. Like a bat's echo, or a sonar.

6. It's probably someone infected with a virus
It's trying to spread the joy. You should be fine sitting behind your firewall. I had one IP once flood me with several hits a second during a DOS attack. Very annoying.
