There are questions and things I would to post, either here or GD or
somewhere else, but I'm afraid because I just know they'll turn into flamefests. Because it seems you can't post anything anymore without that happening. ;(

7. But... I just know what will happen!
Someone will get pissed off by it, then they'll hijack the thread, and then everyone else who replies won't pay attention to my actual post, and it will be bad and some people I like, I think might be offended. It's about religion. Which is a touchy subject. x(

Here's the question I want to post: How can someone take the bible as a literal truth.

Now tell me, that won't invoke a flamewar! I have a point to my question, but that's what everyone will see and it will start a flamewar. I have it written out, the post. I might post it... over in Religion & Theology?

18. here's the thing
many many Christians do not take the Bible as the literal truth (myself included). If you phrase the question has "how can you moronic Christians take the Bible as the literal truth" you'll piss people off. but if you are really wondering if there are liberals who do believe in creationism (i dont) and want to know how they can reconcile their beliefs with empirical science, then go for it!
