4. Wrong
On the contrary, so far it has featured some very convincing eyewitnesses and strong arguments.

They're covering Roswell now.

6. hope so
it makes my blood boil when media merely debunk the subject rather than look closely at the (abundant) video evidence. After 9/11 you would think someone would get interested in what passes through our airspace.

7. I can't get ABC. Woulod someone be kind enough to summarize
what the show is covering? So far I've gotten snatches...eyewitnesses, something about Roswell/Area 51...

8. I can't watch the show because I am at work
but I have read Jennngs comments and he seemed to indicate that there was some proof that UFO's exist.

Tinfoil hat alert. :tinfoilhat:

Here is a theory. With speculation by some scientist recently that life exists on Mars along with this ABC special do you think that the powers to be are setting up the public for announcement that they have discovered life else where in the universe? Or maybe that aliens have landed on this planet?

I don't necessarily believe these theories, I am just throwing them out there for discussion purposes.

9. I didn't think it debunked anything
I expected it to, but I thought it was fairly even handed. It was typical primetime fluff for the most part, though. nothing very in depth, and one piece of disinformation (the UFO phenomenon has been around for thousands of years; it didn't start in the 1940s).

10. yeah, it was very general & spent a lot of time covering history
of UFOs--what a snooze. Not so much debunking, just a lot of nothing, with a somewhat more sympatetic attitude toward witnesses than usual.

This doc could have been made 5-10 years ago for all the new reporting it brought to the subject. Doesn't Peter realize this material has already been covered a dozen times by the history/discovery/scifi channel? He could have started from a fresh angle.

There is a very good UFO documentary called Out of the Blue--it has great footage of unusual sky objects and none of the boring "really, they're ordinary citizens/Police officers/pilots so why do people think they're crazy?" stuff.

11. Hard on Roswell and on abductees.
...but fair and in fact provocative on the question in general.

Though the guy at the "National UFO Call Center" would have done himself better to remove the prescription pill bottle from his desk before taping.

12. It was the usual MSM take on the subject, I thought
although a little more even-handed than usual. They oversimplified the issues, as is typical. For example, many abductees remember details of their experiences (whatever they are) without any hypnosis at all -- but the show left the impression that it's all the result of hypnosis-induced fantasy. And they tremendously oversimplified the whole Roswell thing. I doubt this show will change any minds, so it seemed rather pointless.

13. I found it pretty balanced
I wanted to see more than just one explanation, and I did. Nor did I expect it to come to any conclusions - leaving it up to the individual to decide.
