1. Thats one of my favorite movies!
i went to watch it the other day, and couldn't find it...i suspect a friend of mine stole it, as we have the same taste in movies, and alot of mine are starting to turn up missing. A shame really.

5. I think you can get it for 15 bucks at Target
I came across this movie by accident really. It was funny, I just liked the box, and bought the movie. I have not regretted it!

6. I own it
And must have watched it about 15 times...

I need to increase my DVD collection... but so far, it's the only movie I've needed :)

11. You might try "Meet Joe Black"
It is not funny/quirky like Amelie, but the story is really good. I also love "Joy Luck Club", that is about a 10 hanky movie!

8. I've come to think that is one of the most visually beautiful
movies I've ever seen. It's very rare that I come across a movie that I think stands repeated viewings. Amelie is one of them.

12. I agree! I found "Hero" to be visually compelling as well
I liked the use of colors in that.

15. She's basically a female stalker
It's unbearably cute, but really–the woman is unhinged. She's lucky the guy she fell for wasn't half as psycho as she was.

in a fun way, and he went along with it. :)

16. I love the imaginary animal that little Amelie
imagines in the beginning of the movie. It's a groovy alligator, but sweet.

I like later in the flick when the pictures on the wall are talking, the dog with the cone collar!!

20. I really liked the music in the movie too
It had this whole light coming from darkness quality about it that I loved, and fit the movie so well.

28. I love it!
A couple weeks ago it was on CBC so I taped it.

I've watched it twice since then. What a fabulous, creative and feel-good film. I normally don't like the latter, as Hollywood makes them shallow and overly sentimental, but this one is different.

31. I always feel crushed at the part
where she lets him leave the cafe without telling him she's the one who sent him the messages, and then she crashes to the floor like a bucket of water. :( It totally illustrates that feeling.
