2. Speaking of Hamilton, Joe Frank, and Reynolds
Last night I was listening to the oldies station and got annoyed when the DJ nonchalantly termed them a "one-hit wonder." Yeah, I know they're not exactly a household name, but still, I figure a #4 hit ("Don't Pull Your Love") and a #1 hit ("Fallin' in Love") officially place a group above one-hit wonder status!

Is this a weird thing to have bother me? :-)

4. "Don't Pull Your Love" is a terrific pop record!
It's also one of the first songs I remember hearing on the radio. I was five when it came out in the summer of 1971.

12. I like it, too
It gets stuck in my head a lot!

I remember hearing once that the Grass Roots were offered it and passed on it, which I always thought was a major mistake on their part 'cause the Hamilton, Joe Frank, and Reynolds version is in a similar style and I figure the Grass Roots could have had a big hit with it if they'd just recorded it.

Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young, Gifted and Black.

Edited because I forgot Graham Nash. Unforgivable! Mea Maxima Culpa, Mr. Nash.

8. Female Wooden Cock
Seriously, this is the Chinese year of the Rooster/Cock, but because of the way that the calendar cycles over a period of 60 years, sometimes the years are "male" and sometimes "female". The way it turns out this year is a "female" year, and it's the year of the rooster which is also called "cock".

The 60 year cycle also includes the five elements: air, water, earth, wood, metal. This year is "wood".

So maybe you can call the supergroup after the name of this year: Female Wooden Cock

Who would be in it?

10. I just found a used VHS copy of that for $3.99.
Now, if I just had a TV set and a VCR, I'd watch the damned thing! :eyes:

14. Does anyone have a VCR anymore?
I mean, we have one but it's not hooked up to anything. It just kind of sits there...powerless...
