Florida Gator fans love their leader
I discovered this tribute site tonight, less than a week old:

http://zooksucks.com/

I don't know, 3-3 in Gainesville sounds OK. The win over San Jose State is not being fully appreciated.

1. Don't forget...
..the Gators also beat Florida A&M. That's gotta count for something!

5. That's the original and the best
In fact, Trev Alberts of ESPN mentions it almost weekly during the college recaps on Saturday.

3. We have high expectations after Spurrier
He left a tough legacy to follow...of course they were calling for Zook's firing before his first game as head coach.

Zook is fine. The problem is our offensive coordinator - Ed Zaunbrecher has to go. He may have been good at Marshall, but that was the MAC, and his gameplan doesn't work well in the SEC.

4. Zook's no Spurrier...
I hope it's not the case, but you guys are liable to be in for a letdown (ala Bama post-Stallings). Spurrier found his niche coaching collegiate football where he really had a hand in shaping these players. I think he did a great job. Given the Gators' renewed Bama-esque expectation of winning, I'm betting Ron Zook is out on his ass at the end of the season.

6. Get this, there are rumors of Jimmy Johnson replacing Zook
And every time someone tries to dismiss them, someone else pops up and insists there have been talks, or whispers from JJ's friends that he may be interested and it could happen.

I would not be shocked. JJ is an awesome talent evaluator who would have access to the best recuits in the state at UF. I'm a 'Canes fan, but won't deny that UF has easily the top foundation statewide among the big 3. The Orange Bowl was swamped with blue and orange when I was there during the 38-33 classic a month ago.

During his final Dolphin season, JJ constantly bemoaned the salary cap realities of the NFL, almost a need to be terrible in order to acquire the premier picks to be great down the road. In Gainesville he would have the equivalent of 25 first round picks per year. Plus the cupboard is hardly bare. Zook has recruited very well, by all evaluations.
