5. Being four years old
watching cartoons in my grandparents' living room. Mostly "classics" like Ducktales, Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo, David the Gnome (anyone remember that one?), and Inspector Gadget. I never had one of those but I remember the commercials well.

12. My husband searching high and low, near and far, to find a Teddy
Ruxpin for his son the first Christmas they were out. And he got one too. Later, we added Grumblee (or whatever his name was). They were great toys.

(Grrr. My stepson's mother gave away -- or sold-- both without ever asking us what we wanted to do with them. I was going to keep them for posterity AND we still had most of the tapes at our house. My son would have loved them, but they were long gone by the time he was born.)
